Maverick Makers is an independent studio making lightweight, story-driven browser games — no installs, no accounts to start, just a tab and a few minutes. ASH AGAIN and our new open-world game, MAVERICK X, are both live now.
Rise once more.
Everything we've shipped so far — and what's coming next.
Flap through pillars, climb ten named story chapters, and unlock cosmetics with coins earned in-run. Free, no download.
A GTA-style open world you can drive, fight, and explore right in the browser — third-person on-foot movement, vehicles with damage, missions, shops, and full mobile touch/gyro support.
Maverick Makers began with a simple constraint: build something small enough to finish, and make sure it still means something. ASH AGAIN grew out of that — a one-tap flying game is easy to build, but we wanted it to carry a story, a mood, and a reason to come back beyond "beat your high score."
Everything in the game is built with a lightweight, browser-first stack: HTML5 canvas for the game itself, synthesized and licensed audio, and Firebase for the global leaderboard — no plugins, no installs, playable on a phone the moment the page loads. That "keep it light, keep it real" approach is what we're carrying into every project after this one.
Our first release notes covering the story system, wardrobe, leaderboard, and what's next.
Read All UpdatesNo installs, no heavy downloads, no unnecessary libraries. If it can run smoothly on a mid-range phone, we ship it — if it can't, we cut it.
Every unlockable in our games — skins, hats, cosmetics — is earned by playing. We don't sell in-game currency.
Even a simple mechanic deserves a reason to keep playing. We build a narrative layer into games that don't usually have one.
